Come join NYIT (New York Institute of Technology) Special Events Class students 12-12-12 (December 12th) as they come together to throw an event based on the Inside Out Project started by French renowned artist JR.
The Inside Out Project is a collection of installations showcasing peoples captivating stories and messages all around the world. Installations mostly includes black and white poster size photos of people from the mid chest up expressing whatever they feel facially. NYIT Special Events Class student Valeria Gonzalez, the coordinator of the event was quoted on the press release written by another Special Events Class student Natalie Cooper saying:
"We wanted to start a conversation about what makes you happy and why. Inside Out at NYIT gives each photographed participant an opportunity to express his or her personal 'FREEDOM OF VOICE' through photography and short statements about who they are and their calling for happiness". - Valeria Gonzalez
The NYIT's Inside Out Installation will be available for display starting December 10th, following an open night reception on December 12th at 6PM at NYIT's student lounge of the Manhattan campus. The photos can be viewed on the student lounge windows including photos facing outwards toward the courtyard. The event is open to the public along with a SUGGESTED DONATION of $5 for students and $10 for non-students to help with installation costs but those are encouraged to bring as many people as they want.
